|brush tip applicator (new)|
I am officially scared of lip/cheek stains. I had never tried one before and decided to try Stila's acai one. Since the packaging is similar to their lip glazes, I thought it would be gooey, but it is a lot more of a liquid. I don't think I'm a fan of stains, though it does smell delicious. Also I didn't know what I was doing and just used the brush applicator to swatch on my arm and used my fingers to try 'staining' my cheeks. I freaked out! Its thin consistency made me feel messy, and the lip glaze packaging just doesn't seem ideal. It dries very quickly to how it looks to be applied and I didn't like the way it stained my lips. It just seems to fill in all the 'cracks' and attract attention to them without even application. I'd like to point out that it is very good at staining. I put some on my cheek, arm and lips. When it came time for removal, it would not come off! After attacking it with makeup remover, my lips were mostly stain-free after multiple attempts, but my arm and cheeks kept residual stainage for a few hours. So there's plenty of staying power! Maybe I just need to learn to use it more effectively.
