Hard Candy Meteor-Eyes Baked Eyeshadow in Supernova

I went to Walmart a while back and got excited since it was the first time seeing Hard Candy anywhere. I picked up Supernova (274) to try something from the brand and mildly regret it now. It's unfortunate that it's rather worthless if you'd like to use it dry because it looks so pretty in the pan.

Honestly, I haven't had good experiences with baked eyeshadows. They tend to look really pretty in the pan but color payoff is never as nice as you might hope for it to be. I remember being disappointed with a baked shadow trio by LORAC a couple years ago, and shied away from 'baked' products since then.

When used dry, there's so much fallout. The bright, sparkly purple glitter just gets everywhere and the base color's pigmentation is very weak. Applied wet, the Supernova performs well. The glitter actually sticks and stays on the skin and the dark purple base color applies like it should.

I like the clear and white packaging though. There's a very satisfying click when you close the compact. Supernova looks lovely in the pan, but I shouldn't have to make it work. This one eyeshadow cost me about 6$ I think, which is too expensive for a color that needs to be used wet (if at all).
