Nicki Valentine

modelesque? keke, almost looks like sunshine

I haven't really loved a Naked palette until the recent third one. Maybe it's because I tend to shy away from neutral makeup most of the time, but I always felt like a lot of the colors from the first two Nakeds weren't very flattering on me. Don't get me wrong, the eyeshadows themselves are great, but I'd try an eye look and just feel sullen, old, and disappointed in myself. Perhaps in actuality I just haven't mastered a subtle neutral look I'd be pleased with. Anyway, I can't remember when I've felt compelled to only use one palette for all the eye makeup at one time; I surprised myself.

Products used:
  • NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
  • Princess Eyebrow Pencil in Brown
  • Urban Decay Oz Palette in Theodora
    • Bewitch (brows)
  • Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Damsel
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
    • Blackheart (eyeliner)
    • Buzz (lid)
    • Nooner (outer V)
    • Strange (brow highlight)
  • Urban Decay Eyeliner in Perversion (waterline)
  • Benefit They're Real Mascara (top lashes)
  • Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Sand
  • Make Up For Ever HD Powder (set concealer)
  • Guerlain Parure de Nuit (cheek highlight)
  • MAC Blush in Pink Cult

I love the rose-gold hues Urban Decay added to the palette. They are so pretty and pigmented. While I was getting ready yesterday, some eyeshadow landed on my left contact and made my eyes water. We took photos after coming home, so there's some wear here and there mainly noticeable on the lower lashlines. Also, this was my rendition of Nicki Minaj's makeup from her new music video. My version definitely doesn't look as clean, but having lower liner tends to make me less self conscious about my uneven eyelids.

warm vs cold (the latter is more color accurate)
